South Korea – SaraminHR revenue jumps 34% with growth led by matching platform business

SaraminHR, a South Korea-based hiring platform reported revenue on Tuesday of KRW 129 billion (USD 106.4 million) for the full year 2021, up 34% compared to the previous year.

The revenue of KRW 129 billion (USD 106.4 million) is a record-high performance for the group and the first time it exceeds KRW 100 billion in revenue.

The group also posted KRW 39.1 billion (USD 32.2 million) in operating profit, up 62.2% from the previous year.

The matching platform division, a core business, led the growth, with revenue increasing by 53.2% to KRW 28.5 billion (USD 23.5 million) compared to the previous year.

The recruitment consulting sector, which focuses on recruitment agencies, is also growing steadily.

aramin HR plans to continue its growth this year as well as last year by expanding its new platform and continuously improving service competitiveness.

In the first half of the year, the company plans to launch 'Speed​​Matching', a talent recruitment service which is based on AI analysis and aims to quickly hire suitable talent at a lower cost in line with changing recruitment trends.

Kim Yong-hwan, CEO of Saramin HR, said, “Even in difficult economic conditions, we were able to show good results based on our technological prowess. We will aggressively expand our recruitment service and spur the provision of services that fit the gig economy market with a focus on 'gig as a human'.”

Shares in Saramin closed on Tuesday at KRW 40,800 (USD 33.67), down 1.56% on the day. The company has a market cap of KRW 478.03 billion (USD 394.45 million).
