South Korea – Saramin HR first quarter revenue rises to record high

Saramin HR, a South Korea-based hiring platform reported revenue on Thursday of KRW 26.8 billion (USD 21.1 million) in the first quarter of 2022, up 50% over the same period last year. The group also reported an operating profit of KRW 12.2 billion (USD 9.62 million) in the first quarter of 2022, up 64% over the previous year.

Revenue in the first quarter exceeded KRW 20 billion (USD 15.77 million) for the first time since the group was established. 

Revenue in HR business stood at KRW 17.9 billion (USD 14.12 million) with operating profit of KRW 7.5 billion (USD 5.91 million) in the first quarter of last year, up 20.1% and 33.9%, respectively.

The growth of the HR segment was mainly driven by the AI research organisation 'AI Lab’.

Kim Yong-hwan, CEO of Saramin HR, said, “With our user-centered philosophy and generous investment in technology, the growth curve is getting steeper as we lead HR technology in the era of digital transformation. We will continue to show solid earnings growth.”

Shares on Thursday closed at KRW 42,300 (USD 33.37), down 1.6% on the day. The company has a market cap of KRW 540.41 billion (USD 426.34 million).
