South Korea – Majority of jobseekers say they have experienced rudeness while job hunting

The majority of jobseekers in South Korea say they have experienced ‘rude situations’ while searching for a job, according to a survey by Saramin HR.

Saramin HR surveyed 2,768 jobseekers and found that among the rude situations they experienced, the most common was ‘blatantly ignoring or being sarcastic' (47.3%).

According to the survey, the ‘most unpleasant’ experience were, 'remarks such as insults, disregard, and discrimination' (highlighted by 31.9% of respondents).

The survey also showed that 96.8% of respondents said that the bad experiences during the hiring process had an impact on whether or not they applied for the job.
