Jobs in technical engineering, healthcare, and business development were among the top growing and in demand roles in Singapore, according to LinkedIn’s 2023 Jobs on the Rise data.

In its report, LinkedIn put together a list that included millions of jobs started between January 2018 to July 2022 from its members while also factoring in the change in employment landscape such as demand for hybrid work, a rise in skills-based hiring, and an uncertain economic outlook.

LinkedIn said the list is glimpse into emerging trends in the workforce and a resource to navigate a career path with resilience.

The Top 15 fastest-growing jobs are:

1. Sales Development Representative – Responsible for contacting new leads and qualifying potential customers for sales executives to work with. Job titles include business development representative and skills include lead generation, sales prospecting, and business.
2. Cloud Engineer – Manage a company’s cloud-based systems. Other titles include cloud developer.
3. Enterprise Account Executive – Positions include account director, account executive, or account manager. These roles typically manage relationships with key clients to drive product sales.
4. Healthcare Assistant – Provide caregiving assistance to patients in hospitals and nursing homes.
5. Cyber Security Engineer – Maintain the security of IT infrastructure and develop solutions for digital threats and hacking. Common skills are in cybersecurity, information security, and network security.
6. Site Reliability Engineer – Focus on creating reliable systems by solving operational problems with digital tools and working with other technical stakeholder.
7. Back-end Developer – Code and build program servers and database functions that form the backbone of a website or application. Back-end engineer is a related title.
8. Cyber Security Consultant – Identify and solve security issues within and IT infrastructure by conducting penetration tests and implementing effective solutions.
9. Technical Account Manager – Provide IT support to assist customers in navigating technical issues with products and services. Skills include account management, cloud computing, and solution architecture.
10. Customer Success Specialist – Work with new customers to improve their experience in product adoption and usage.
11. Machine Learning Engineer – Develop machine learning models and algorithms that make decisions or predictions for products and applications.
12. Artificial Intelligence Engineer – Use technical tools to build and implement artificial intelligence solutions in which machines, computers or robots are capable of imitating human functions. Top roles have transitioned from software engineer, data scientist and data analyst
13. DevOps Engineer – Responsible for automating and accelerating the production of software applications and services. Related titles include DevOps Manager.
14. Investment Associate – Manage the investments of corporations, review financial data and deliver investment plans.
15. Product Owner – Responsible for building a product with the right functionality in order to solve customers’ problems and attain a certain product outcome.
