People – Workforce Singapore, Talent International

Workforce Singapore, the statutory board under the Ministry of Manpower that oversees the transformation of the local workforce and industry to meet ongoing economic challenges, announced that Dilys Boey, currently Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Enterprise Singapore (EnterpriseSG), will succeed Tan Choon Shian as the new Chief Executive of Workforce Singapore with effect from 1 July 2023.

Shian was appointed the first Chief Executive of Workforce Singapore following the reconstitution of the Workforce Development Agency into Workforce Singapore in October 2016. During the Covid-19 pandemic in particular, Shian led Workforce Singapore to implement several key measures to support jobseekers and manage unemployment. This included the launch of the SGUnited Traineeships and SGUnited Mid-Career Pathways, company attachment programmes.

Meanwhile, Boey’s experience in management consulting and corporate development included appointments with global firms Ernst & Young (EY), Intel Technology and Arthur Andersen.

Australia-based Talent International announced Meagan Jeffery will be joining the company as Global Chief Information Officer, effective immediately. Jeffery will work closely with Talent’s Global CEO, Mark Nielsen, and the wider Talent team, focusing on building Talent’s technology function, leveraging enablers such as data and AI and also provide contractors and customer with the highest level of service.

She has held roles in retail and investment banking, superannuation, insurance broking, energy, utilities, and federal and state government. In recent roles she has advised and supported boards, CIOs and IT executives with strategic planning, digital transitioning, and sourcing of technology services. Her previous experience includes roles with KPMG Australia and Belenois Sourcing Advisory.
