Mynavi invests in Singapore recruitment start-up PB Incubations

23 August 2023

Tokyo-based Mynavi announced it has invested in Singapore-based PB Incubations (also known as Penbrothers), a start-up offering recruitment services and cross-border managed services.

The investment amount was not disclosed.

In addition to employment agency services, Penbrothers provides comprehensive support covering all personnel affairs-related issues that start-ups face, including post-financing recruitment planning, HR education and training, and mental health measures.

Mynavi runs a number of job board and temporary dispatch services in Japan alongside non-recruitment related activities.

Through its investment, Mynavi will help Penbrothers provide growth support to start-ups around the globe and also contribute to a better working environment in the Philippines.

“Penbrothers takes advantage of the pool of talent available in the Philippines to provide services to clients in more than 20 countries worldwide,” the company stated. “When start-ups in developed countries face labour shortages, Penbrothers steps in to undertake their management operations with highly skilled human resources hired through employment agency services in the Philippines.”

PB Incubations added, “Penbrothers provides opportunities for many talented Filipinos to be active in start-ups around the globe while staying local, thus serving as a gateway to their employment in such settings. Penbrothers also maintains a database of over 20,000 people aspiring to work at start-ups, allowing it to be a one-stop provider of sourcing, recruiting, hiring, and management services for its clients.”
