Most Japanese office workers who have undergone reskilling said it had a positive impact: Adecco

Approximately 80.0% of office workers in Japan who have undertaken reskilling said it had a positive impact on their work and career, according to a survey by Adecco Co., Ltd. in Japan, the Japanese subsidiary of The Adecco Group.

The survey found that 45.3% of company employees have undertaken reskilling in the past.

The most frequently cited positive impact of reskilling on work was that ‘the range of work has expanded’' (53.4%).

Meanwhile, 85.1% of office workers believe that reskilling is necessary for their future work, but 43.5% are currently working on reskilling.

For those who are not currently working on reskilling but believe it is necessary, the most common reason given was ‘I don't have the time’ (56.4%).

Further key data from Adecco Japan showed 56.1% of office workers believe that advances in generative AI will have a positive impact on their future work.
