Most APAC firms say working in office increases productivity (PhilStar)

30 January 2024

More than half of companies in the Asia Pacific region (65%) believe that working in the office increases productivity, reports Phil Star, citing research from Cisco. At the same time, employers think that a return to the workplace allows workers to improve team communication and respond to leadership pressure. Across the region, India recorded the highest number of employers mandating a full return to the office at 49%, followed by the Philippines (46%), Australia and South Korea (28%), and Hong Kong and Thailand (19%). Taiwan stood out as the most progressive in terms of working arrangement, with only 13% of Taiwanese companies requiring a full return to the office.
