Japanese recruitment firm Matching Service Japan (6539:TYO) announced today it acquired 75.0% of the shares of FourQuarters Recruitment Pty. Ltd., an Australia-based recruitment firm.

The total price of the transaction is JPY 3.46 billion (USD 23.4 million), which includes advisory fees.

FourQuarters Recruitment was established in 2010. The group operates a recruitment and staffing business specialising in finance and accounting, banking and financial services, technology, and human resources and business support in Australia.

Matching Service says through this acquisition, it will be able to develop its business by taking advantage of FourQuarters Recruitment Pty. Ltd.'s strong business base in Australia in terms of size and track record, and will be able to utilise the matching services know-how and management department cultivated by the company.

“We believe that we will be able to further expand our business by utilising the data we have accumulated in the professional and professional domains,” Matching Service stated. “For the above reasons, we have determined that this will contribute to sustainable business growth, and have therefore come to an agreement to conclude a stock transfer agreement.”
