Furniture retailer Ikea cut ties with a supplier of security guards to its Malaysia operations after an investigation found the supplier charged the Nepali security guards USD 1,000 to obtain the job, FMT Media reported. Ikea also noted that multiple layers of subagents were involved in the process in rural villages. Ikea has since brought on board a new supplier.
