Most working professionals in India fear losing their jobs to emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, reports India Today, citing a report by Hero Vired, an e-learning provider. Despite the concern about job losses, approximately 78% of respondents revealed recognising upskilling as a proactive strategy to navigate the rapidly changing work landscape. This further indicates a growing awareness of the necessity for continuous learning and skill enhancement to remain relevant in the dynamic job market.

The report also noted that 39% of respondents believe knowledge of AI significantly influences career growth opportunities, while 43% expressed their dissatisfaction with the lack of adequate AI training provided by their employers. This data further highlights a gap between perceived importance and the actual provision of training in this critical technology domain. Meanwhile, the report showed that around 43.5% of working professionals believe there is a growing need of upskilling every six months with new technologies being introduced.
