Japan – World Holdings full year revenue up 7.8% but net income slips

Japanese outsourcing services company World Holdings (2429: JP) reported revenue today for the full year ended 31 December 2021 of JPY 154.7 billion (USD 1.34 billion), an increase of 7.8% compared to the previous year.

World Holdings Co Ltd. provides outsourcing services in the manufacturing sector operating under the World Intec brand. The company also offers personnel staffing services for engineering and short-term positions.

Last month the group announced that it will acquire Dimple Co., Ltd. Dimple was founded in 1991 and is involved in temporary staffing, information, store management and education and training.

The group said revenue increased during the year due to the steady progress of the Factory business, specifically of semiconductor-related products such as 5G.

The technology business was on a recovery trend in all fields while the group added that revenue in the R & D business, particularly in the main researcher dispatch department, reported growth. The real estate business, marketing business, information and telecommunications business and other business also reported growth.

Looking ahead the company forecasted revenue JPY 168.82 billion (USD 1.46 billion) for the year ended 31 December 2022.

Shares in World Holdings closed at JPY 2,376.00 (USD 20.60), up 1.11% on the day and 24.53% above the 52-week low of JPY 1,908.00 (USD 16.54) set on 9 February 2021. The company has a market cap of JPY 41.30 billion (USD 358.00 million).
