Japan – Will Group full year revenue and profits down slightly

Japanese HR firm Will Group (6089:TYO), which focuses on temporary staffing, business contracting and recruitment, reported revenue of JPY 118.2 billion (USD 1.08 billion) for the year ended 31 March 2021, a decrease of 3.0% when compared to the same period last year.

Will Group is engaged in the human resource business focusing on temporary staffing, business contracting and recruitment. The group operates in seven segments: sales outsourcing, call centre outsourcing, factory outsourcing, nursing care domain support, overseas HR, and others (Japan) and the recently added start-up, human resources support business.

The group said temporary staffing demand remained firm amid the pandemic. Will Group said it government measures and reviewing investment plans and head office costs helped to protect profits.

Looking ahead the company forecasted revenue of JPY 121.0 billion (USD 1.11 billion) for the full year ended 31 March 2022.

Shares in Will Group closed at JPY 1,001.00 (USD 9.20), up 0.20% on the day and 14.30% below its 52-week high of JPY 1,168.00 (USD 10.74), set on 1 April 2021. The company has a market cap of JPY 22.53 billion (USD 207.12 million).
