TechnoPro Holdings Inc. (6028:TYO), a Tokyo-based provider of engineering staffing, reported Friday that revenue rose 11.3% year over year to JPY 49.8 million (USD 377 million) in its fiscal second quarter ended 31 December.
Demand for engineering dispatch exceeded pre-pandemic levels despite the uncertain macroeconomic climate, according to the company.
Revenue rose across TechnoPro’s segments:
- R&D outsourcing business. Revenue up 11.2% in the second quarter. The segment provides engineering staffing and contract services related to mechanical design, electronic design and IT.
- Construction management outsourcing. Revenue in this segment rose 7.3% year over year. This segment provides engineering staffing and contract drafting related to construction management.
- Other business in Japan. With revenue up 8.7% year over year in fiscal Q2, this segment provides executive search as well as education and training services.
- Overseas business. This segment provides tech outsourcing in China and IT engineering staffing in Southeast Asia among other services. Second-quarter revenue rose 16.5%.
Guidance
TechnoPro forecast full-year revenue will be up 11.9%.
Share price and market cap
Shares in TechnoPro closed up 2.71% to JPY 3,985 (USD) on Friday in Tokyo; they were 3.98% below their 52-week high on 1 November, according to FT.com. The company had a market cap of JPY 420.67 billion (USD).
