Recruit Holdings Co. Ltd., one of the world’s largest staffing firms, signed a partnership to offer massive open online courses (MOOCs) in Japanese. Recruit signed the deal with Udacity, a MOOC provider based in Mountain View, Calif.

Recruit plans to offer six courses in Japanese: algorithms, how to build a startup, HTML5 game development, interactive 3D graphics, intro to Hadoop and MapReduce and Web development.

A MOOC is an online course that allows for unlimited participation, according to Wikipedia. Udacity was founded by Sebastian Thrun, who has been involved in Google projects such as Google Glass.
