Japanese staffing giant Recruit Holdings Co. President Hisayuki Idekoba said his firm aims to offer job seekers a "single click" approach to changing jobs by accelerating investment in information technology and via mergers and acquisitions in the human resources business, reports The Japan News. In an interview Idekoba said, "I want to create a world where people can change jobs in one click, in one second. The Covid-19 crisis is driving online hiring all over the world. But it takes months for job-seekers to get a job, and thus we need technology to make this easier.” Idekoba added, {It will be tough to compete with GAFA [Google, Apple, Facebook and Amazon], but Recruit wants to fight in niche areas," he said. The firm plans to provide detailed services, such as analyzing data from a client company's recruitment interviews and providing advice.
