Japan – Quick Co H1 revenue rises 18.5% as profits show improvement

Quick Co. Ltd (4318: JP), a Japanese staffing firm, reported revenue for the first six months ended 30 September 2021 of JPY 12.20 billion (USD 107.2 million), an increase of 18.5% compared to the previous year.

Quick Co. provides recruitment advertising and dispatch (temporary staffing) services.

The group said during the period it saw an increased demand for nursing staff and higher demand for dispatching services. The human resources service business saw revenue rise by 16.7%. The group’s recruiting business's sales were up 42.4% year-on-year.

Revenue in the information publishing business was up 17.7% over the year. The IT/Internet-related business saw revenue increase by 12.7%. At the same time, the Overseas business saw revenue increase by 13.3%.

Looking ahead the company forecasted revenue of JPY 21.40 billion (USD 188.1 million) for the year ended 31 March 2022.

Shares in Quick Co closed at JPY 1,435.00 (USD 12.62), up 0.99% on the day and 2.31% below its 52-week high of JPY 1,469.00 (USD 12.92), set on 14 September 2021. The company has a market cap of JPY 27.14 billion (USD 238.64 million).
