J-Star, a Tokyo-based private equity firm, announced an investment in Miraie Co. Ltd., a Tokyo-based IT consulting, staffing and system development firm.

With the investment, J-Star plans to work on Miraie’s governance structure, diversifying the source of IT engineers and encouraging cooperation with J-Star’s other portfolio companies.

Miraie was founded in 2007 and employs more than 500 engineers on a monthly basis.
