Operating Profit -205 -52 - -1.9

PA Co operates Information Services and Temporary Staffing Services. The Information Services segment publishes free job information magazines and sales promotion information publications; offers sales promotion tools through mobiles, and operates recruitment websites for full-time employers focusing on mobile sites. The group also operates a nursery business.

PA Co stated that its operating loss was due to a decrease in advertising revenue in the information service business. The company said it recorded an extraordinary loss related to material disposal of facilities and an impairment loss due to the transfer of the head office function.

Revenue for the Temporary Staffing business was down 13.7%, while the Information Services segment saw a decrease of 36.6% year-on-year. Revenue for the childcare business was down 19.3% year-on-year.

On the other hand, the regional revitalisation business recorded an increase of 9.6%. The regional revitalisation project aims to regenerate idle spaces and facilities scattered in each region into a “lively place”.

The group did not publish a forecast stating that it is difficult to make a rational earnings forecast at this time. “Reasonable predictions have become possible in the future,” it added. “We will announce it promptly at that time.”
