Japan – PA Co full year revenue slips 1.2%

Japanese temporary staffing firm PA Co (4766: JP) reported revenue on Friday for the full year ended 31 December 2021 of JPY 1.58 billion (USD 13.7 million), a decrease of 1.2% compared to the same period last year.

PA Co operates Information Services and Temporary Staffing Services. The Information Services segment publishes free job information magazines and sales promotion information publications; offers sales promotion tools through mobiles, and operates recruitment websites for full-time employers focusing on mobile sites. The group also operates a nursery business.

Revenue in the Information Services business was down 5.5%, which was impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Revenue in the labour dispatch (Temporary Staffing Services) business was up 12.1%. the group said it responded to diversified and fragmented human resources demand and provided jobs that are more suitable for individual job seekers to meet customer needs.

Revenue in the nursery business fell by 4.3%. Meanwhile, revenue in the regional revitalisation business was up 10.3%.

Looking ahead the group forecasted revenue of JPY 1.80 billion (USD 15.63 million) for the year ended 31 December 2022.

Shares in PA Co closed on Friday at JPY 165.00 (USD 1.43), down 0.6% on the day. The company has a market cap of JPY 1.73 billion (USD 15.02 million).
