Outsourcing Inc. (2427:TYO), which ranks as the third-largest staffing firm in Japan, according to SIA, is acquiring Sankyo Logi Associate Co. Ltd., a provider of warehouse worker staffing in the Kanto, Tohoku, Kansai and Chugoku areas of Japan.

Sankyo Logi is based in Tokyo and was established in January 2005.

Net sales at Sankyo Logi totalled JPY 10.48 billion (USD 85.5 million) in its 2021 fiscal year.

Outsourcing reported Sanky Logi will benefit from leveraging its management resources, and the deal will give Outsourcing a foothold in a segment that was not as badly impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic as others.

Outsourcing forecasts revenue of JPY 695.0 billion (USD 5.67 billion) for its 2022 fiscal year, up 22.1% from 569.33 billion in its 2021 fiscal year.

Shares in Outsourcing closed Monday up 4.69% to JPY 1,316 (USD 10.74); they were 24.27% above their 52-week low, according to FT.com. The company had a market cap of JPY 158.29 billion (USD 1.29 billion).
