Japan – Nisso Corp. revenue rises 17.6% in H1 period

Nisso Corporation (6569: TYO), a Japanese human resources firm providing staffing services, reported revenue today of JPY 43.16 billion (USD 294.3 million) for the first six months ended 30 September 2022, an increase of 17.6% compared to the same period last year.

Nisso operates in two segments: human resources and ‘other business’. The integrated talent service business operates a manufacturing talent service, such as manufacturing dispatching and manufacturing contracting, as well as an administrative talent service, such as general office dispatching and Business Process Outsourcing (BPO). The Other business operates nursing care and welfare projects, such as facility nursing care and home care.

The number of enrolled manufacturing staff steadily increased to 15,730 (up 785 from the end of the previous consolidated fiscal year) as a result of responding to the human resources needs of its clients, manufacturers, and by increasing the number of interviewees by strengthening promotions such as TV commercials.

Looking ahead, the company forecasted revenue of JPY 88.60 billion (USD 604.19 million) for the year ended 31 March 2023.

Nisso Corp (6569:TYO) shares closed at JPY 562.00 (USD 3.83), up 2.93% on the day and 5.05% above its 52-week low of JPY 535.00 (USD 3.65), set on 20 June 2022. The company has a market cap of JPY 18.74 billion (USD 127.79 million).
