Japan – Nisso Corp. net sales rise 17.9% year over year

Nisso Corp. (6569:TYO), a Yokohama, Japan-based staffing firm, reported net sales rose 17.9% year over year to JPY 67.20 billion (USD 509 million) in the first nine months of  fiscal 2023, which ran from 1 April 2022 through 31 December 2022.

Nisso noted net sales to businesses related to the auto industry rose 1.0% year over year to JPY 26,610 million (USD 202 million), and net sales in the electronics industry rose 15.4% year over year to JPY 18,659 million (USD 141 million).

The number of enrolled staff in the company’s manufacturing segment rose by 857 year over year to 14,677. In Nisso’s engineering staffing operations, the number of enrolled engineers rose by 560 year over year to 1,542; however, the number of enrolled staff in the company’s office/clerical staffing operations fell by 36 year over year to 627.

Nisso also provides nursing care and welfare services, where revenue rose 1.4% to JPY 2,271 million (USD 17 million), and other human resources services.

Guidance

Revenue for the full fiscal year, which ends 31 March 2023, is expected to be up by 17.3%.

Share price and market cap

Shares in Nisso closed on Monday at 13.05% above their 52-week low, according to FT.com. The company had a market cap of JPY 20.23 billion (USD 154.1 million).
