Japan – Matching Service full year revenue and profits hit by impact of pandemic

Recruitment firm Matching Service Japan (6539:TYO)  reported annual revenue for the year ended 31 March 2021 today of JPY 3.37 billion (USD 30.9 million), a decrease of 17.8% compared to the previous year.

The group said the pandemic continued to have a negative impact on its recruitment business.

Matching Service Japan is mainly focused on legal and accounting/finance professions such as attorney, certified public accountant, tax accountant, among others, and also management sector jobs, such as accounting, finance, human resources and general affairs, legal, and corporate planning among others.

Looking ahead, the company forecasted revenue of JPY 3.93 billion (USD 36.13 million) for the year ended March 2022.

Shares in Matching Service closed at JPY 989.00 (USD 9.09), down 1.88% on the day and 34.01% above the 52 week low of JPY 738.00 (USD 6.79) set on 2 July 2020. The company has a market cap of JPY 25.18 billion (USD 231.51 million).
