JAIC (7073: TYO), a Japan-based professional services firm primarily engaged in education-integrated recruitment services, reported revenue today for the full year period ended 31 January 2021 of JPY 2.24 billion (USD 20.5 million), a decrease of 26.1% compared to the same period last year.

Within the group’s education and training segment, JAIC saw postponement and cancellation of training that had already been ordered. Orders were also stagnant, which affected business performance.
The education-integrated recruitment service was also impacted by the coronavirus pandemic.
However, it added that it has turned to online interviews and has taken steps to improve profitability including the consolidation and closure of some of its offices. The company added that it is also working on new services.
The company forecasted revenue of JPY 2.70 billion (USD 24.7 million) for the year ended 31 January 2022.
Shares in JAIC Co closed at JPY 2,880.00 (USD 26.41), up 0.70% on the day and 8.72% above its 52-week low of JPY 2,649.00 (USD 24.29), set on 29 December 2020. The company has a market cap of JPY 2.61 billion (USD 23.93 million).
