Japan – Interworks merges and absorbs recruitment support subsidiary

Interworks (6032:TYO), a Japan-based recruitment company announced it would absorb and merge its wholly-owned subsidiary Nippon Data Vision, which handles recruitment support business. According to Nikkei, the effective date is scheduled for 1 October 2021. The merger will be an absorption-type merger with Interworks as the surviving company, and Nippon Data Vision will be dissolved. Interworks said it will implement the merger with the aim of speeding up the management decision-making and the reflection of decision items in the business, improving the efficiency of business operation and strengthening risk response capabilities.

In May, Interworks reported revenue for the full year ended 31 March 2021 had declined by 44% to JPY 1.76 billion (USD 16.2 million) compared to the previous year as a result of the pandemic.
