Japanese recruitment firm Gakujo Co. (2301: JP) reported revenue for the first six months ended 30 April 2021 of JPY 2.20 billion (USD 20.1 million), decreasing 12.1% compared with last year.

Gakujo provides human resources and recruitment services in Japan. It is involved in college campus recruiting, mid-career recruitment, and business recruitment activities. The company also provides staffing services for small and medium-sized venture companies.
The group said the coronavirus pandemic had an impact on the graduate recruitment market.
Looking ahead, the company forecasted revenue of JPY 6.50 billion (USD 59.4 million) for the year ended 31 October 2021.
Shares in Gakujo closed today at JPY 1,467.00 (USD 13.41), down 2.07% on the day and -12.00% below its 52-week high of JPY 1,667.00 (USD 15.23), set on 22 March 2021. The company has a market cap of JPY 23.31 billion (USD 213.00 million).
