By 2040, Japan will need 6.74 million foreign workers, four times more than it has today, Nikkei Asia reported. The figure is based on a study by the Japan International Cooperation Agency. Vietnam will be the biggest source of labour for Japan, accounting for 28% of all foreign workers in 2040. Other countries are also expected to send more workers, including Myanmar, Cambodia, Bangladesh, Nepal and India.
