Japanese firms are increasing efforts to fight the labor crunch and help workers deal with inflation, Reuters reported. There is growing momentum from labor and management to offer pay hikes to cushion, if not beat, inflation. About a quarter of Japanese firms have offered inflation allowances or plan to do so.
