Japan – Benext-Yumeshin Group reports revenue growth on back of merger

Japanese technical staffing firm BeNext-Yumeshin (2154: JP), reported revenue today of JPY 44.60 billion (USD 391.7 million) for the first quarter ended 30 September 2021, an increase of 151.4% compared with the previous year.

On January 2021, Benext announced it is merging with Yumeshin Holdings. The absorption-type merger will see the creation of an engineer dispatching powerhouse.

The group said that the PPA (power purchase agreement) related to the Yumeshin integration has been fully amortized in Q1. No more in Q2 or after, it added.

Within the Machinery, Electronics and IT Software segment, revenue jumped 57.7%. Manufacturing saw revenue climb by 18.1% over the year while the Overseas segment reported revenue growth of 214.2%.

Shares in Benext-Yumeshin closed at JPY 1,540.00 (USD 13.53), up 0.59% on the day and 25.28% below its 52-week high of JPY 2,061.00 (USD 18.10), set on 30 March 2021. The company has a market cap of JPY 139.32 billion (USD 1.22 billion).
