The staffing industry has the highest demand for fresh graduates in India, reports The Business Standard citing data from foundit. On November 2022, Monster India announced that it reinvented itself as foundit. The data from foundit suggests that as of May, the staffing industry accounts for 22% of the total demand of fresh graduates with a work experience of less than two years. It is followed by the IT software and software services (19%) and business process outsourcing (10%) sectors. Education and healthcare are the other two industries in the top five, with a market share of 5% and 4%, respectively.

Foundit data also showed that with 12.4% market share, Bengaluru has the highest job demand for freshers. Bengaluru also offers the highest salary to freshers. Meanwhile, trends showed a growing trend of companies asking their employees to work from the office. As of May, 92% of job postings for freshers across industries are for in-office roles, while 4.2% of job postings were for the hybrid model and 3.8% for work-from-home roles.
