In India, 45% of employers are interested in hiring apprentices through December to reduce the skills gap, The Economic Times reported, citing the “Apprenticeship Outlook Report for H2 2021” released by TeamLease Skills University. “This year (2021) has been rewarding for apprentices despite the economic concerns caused by the Covid-19 crisis. The positivity in the ecosystem that we saw in the first half of the year, with 41% employers keen on hiring apprentices, continues in H2 as well,” said TeamLease Skill University VP Sumit Kumar.
