Demand for tech skills is rising in non-tech industries international firms’ global capability centres in India even as traditional tech hiring has tapered off, according to research by Bangalore, India-based staffing firm Quess Corp. Ltd. (QUESS:NSI) as reported by The Economic Times. “Given the global banking crisis and an unprecedented wave of employee layoffs, hiring has been muted in Q4FY23,” said Vijay Sivaram, CEO of Quess IT Staffing. “While hiring requirements continue to come in as most firms are still in a wait-and-watch mode, GCCs and Indian enterprises continue to add some numbers, whereas services have seen a slowdown.”
