India – Myntra to create 27,500 temporary jobs for sales campaign (The Economic Times)

07 June 2022

India-based online fashion and beauty retailer Myntra, owned by Flipkart, is set to create 27,500 seasonal jobs for its upcoming 16th edition of its End of Reason Sale, which starts on 11 June and lasts six days, reports The Economic Times. The company is hiring temporary workers for delivery, warehouse and customer support, among others. The total temporary jobs being created for EORS includes jobs for over 2,000 women and 300 differently abled people who will be part of the warehouse team, chief executive Nandita Sinha told the Economic Times. "We are creating the highest seasonal job opportunities ever this EORS," she said. The company hired about 11,000 people in temp roles for the last festive season sale held in September. “We expect about a 1.5X increase in orders over the previous edition. To meet the heightened demand, Myntra is working towards creating employment opportunities for about 27,500 people in temporary roles across the country," Sinha said.
