Info Edge, the Indian job board, announced it will acquire Axilly Labs for INR 210 million (USD 2.8 million).

Axilly Labs, based in India, offers technical assessment services to clients for recruitment and learning purposes. It delivers these services via its technical assessment platform ‘doselect.com’.

According to Info Edge, the proposed acquisition would help the company to offer a new variety of services under its flagship brand Naukri.com helping the group to further consolidate its position in the online recruitment solutions segment.

The acquisition is expected to be completed on or before 31 July 2021.

Separately, Info Edge also announced it will sell INR 3.75 billion (USD 50.2 million) worth of stake in food delivery platform Zomato.

Previously, it had approved an offer for sale of equity shares worth up to INR 7.50 billion (USD 100 million).

Zomato is preparing for an IPO.

According to the Economic Times, Zomato’s IPO is one of the most awaited in recent capital market history given that it will be among the first technology unicorns to be listed in India. Info Edge holds stake of around 19% in Zomato after the company's recent fundraising.
