India – Difficulties at some private colleges leave students without employment prospects (Bloomberg)

India’s USD 117 billion education industry is booming, and the country’s top institutions have turned out global business leaders such as Microsoft Corp.’s Satya Nadella. However, Bloomberg, in an article posted on The Japan Times, reported many small private colleges are popping up that don’t have regular classes and whose faculty has little training, and they are leaving some young Indians with little in return for a substantial investment. Talent assessment firm Wheebox estimated that half of all graduates in India are unemployable due to problems in the education system.
