India – BetterPlace acquires Malaysian staffing firm Troopers (Tech in Asia)

29 March 2023

BetterPlace, an India-based staffing and human resource management software provider, acquired Malaysia-based part-time staffing and recruitment services firm Troopers, reports Tech in Asia. The deal is estimated to be worth between USD 15 million and USD 20 million, a source told Tech in Asia. The deal is subject to regulatory approvals.

Separately, DealStreetAsia also reported today that the deal was still in ‘final talks’ and BetterPlace is expected to make a formal announcement about the acquisition later this week.

Founded in 2017 by Joshua Tan and Kevin Lee, Troopers provides part-time recruitment roles for people and offers staffing solutions to companies. The deal follows BetterPlace’s acquisition of Indonesia-based MyRobin, a digital staffing platform that provides blue-collar workers. Both BetterPlace and Trooopers have not yet commented on the deal.
