PeopleIN Ltd. (PPE:ASX), a staffing firm based in Brisbane, Australia, reported it signed a memorandum of understanding with TAFE Queensland that will enable it to provide employment placement services for TAFE Queensland’s 125,000 graduates and TAFE Queensland to provide upskilling opportunities for PeopleIN’s 55,000-person workforce.

TAFE (technical and further education) Queensland is a state government-owned provider of vocational training.

PeopleIN and TAFE Queensland will collaborate for an initial two-year period under the terms of the nonbinding memorandum of understanding to explore mutually beneficial opportunities, which may include promoting labour mobility and employment opportunities for TAFE Queensland’s domestic and AsiaPac international students and alumni, and the delivery of upskilling to PeopleIN’s on-hire workforce, on a nonexclusive basis.

“Nursing, community services and construction are among the sectors with the greatest skills shortages and we’re leaders in placing workers in these, and other critical industries,” said PeopleIN CEO Ross Thompson.

“This partnership provides a ready-made avenue to employment for our students and graduates in key sectors across the state. We’re also pleased to provide skills training and qualifications to PeopleIN’s established workforce,” TAFE Queensland CEO Mary Campbell said.
