The global digital and technology job market has soared by up to 145% above pre-Covid levels, according to data from Australia-based Talent International.

The report showed key findings in all markets across Australia. It found that on average businesses are dramatically shortening the interview process in order to secure top candidates, reducing time to fill by up to 36%.

At the same time, the report found that active candidates are receiving 2.7 job offers on average. Counteroffers are increasing by up to 20% with businesses offering more money and internal promotions to retain top talent.

Meanwhile, Talent’s report also found that salary and contract rates increased.

Flexible work ranked second in the list of top requirements for candidates, following salary.
