Australia – GO2 People full year revenue up 2.1%, appoints new CEO

GO2 People, a provider of vertically integrated recruitment and building services throughout Australia and New Zealand, published its preliminary report for the full year ended 30 June 2021.

The group reported revenue of AUD 29.68 million (USD 21.8 million), an increase of 2.1% when compared to the same period last year.

During the second half of FY 2021, the group completed two acquisitions. In March 2021, the Group acquired Hunter Executive Search Consultants. Hunter contributed revenues of AUD 1.2 million and profit after tax of AUD 298,223 from 13 March 2021 to 30 June 2021.

On 31 May 2021, the company acquired Skill Hire Australia. Skill Hire contributed revenue of AUD 3.3 million and a loss after tax of AUD 160,114 for the month from 1 June 2021 to 30 June 2021.

The company also announced that Billy Ferreira has tendered his resignation as group managing director and CEO of the GO2 Group. Ferreira’s resignation as a director is effective from 31 August 2021, and his resignation as group CEO is effective 30 September 2021 to allow for a transition to the incoming CEO. 

Non-Executive Director Paul Goldfinch has also tendered his resignation as a Director of the Company. 

The Board is currently recruiting for an additional Non-Executive Director to join the Board.

The group also announced that Shawn Murphy has been appointed as the GO2 People Group’s Chief Executive Officer, effective 1 October 2021. 

Murphy has been the CEO of Skill Hire since August 2020, and has worked in successful start-up and scale-up companies across the health, medical and human resources sectors. He has held executive roles for companies such as Sonic Healthcare, Covermore Insurance and Tecside Group in both Perth and Sydney, Australia.  

Shares in GO2 People closed at AUD 0.033 (USD 0.024), up 3.13% on the day and 26.92% above the 52 week low of AUD 0.026 (USD 0.019) set on 16 March 2021. The company has a market cap of AUD 11.87 million (USD 8.70 million).
