Asia Pacific – Randstad Sourceright signs strategic partnership with Johnson & Johnson

29 June 2017

Randstad Sourceright has announced that it has signed a strategic partnership with Johnson & Johnson to manage and accelerate the company's growing workforce in the Asia Pacific region.

Under the multi-million dollar Managed Services Provider agreement, Randstad Sourceright will oversee the sourcing, hiring and management of Johnson & Johnson's contingent workforce in 12 countries.

"Asia Pacific is one of the fastest-growing regions for Johnson & Johnson and we need the ability to scale quickly and capitalize on new market opportunities," Jayesh Joshi, regional procurement director for Johnson & Johnson, said. "We are excited to be teaming-up with Randstad Sourceright. Our partnership across the region is a leap forward, and in line with our credo, will enable J&J to optimise our hiring practices, attract new pools of talent, improve supplier engagement and provide new opportunities in this dynamic and business critical area of supply."

During the three-year contract, Randstad Sourceright will manage several thousand temporary employees to work in a variety of Johnson & Johnson's sectors, including pharmaceutical, medical, consumer and vision. Randstad Sourceright will act as the contingent workforce lead partner in India, Singapore, Japan, China, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Korea, Taiwan, Indonesia, Thailand and the Philippines.

"The diverse regulatory environment and talent shortage in Asia Pacific can act as a significant barrier to growth for some companies in the region," Rebecca Henderson, CEO of Randstad Sourceright, said. "Johnson & Johnson has always taken an innovative approach to its hiring strategies and quickly recognized the value an MSP model can deliver in such a demanding hiring environment.”

No further financial details of the agreement were disclosed.
