Delta Air Lines is laying off 800 contractor workers because of the coronavirus pandemic, WSB-TV in Atlanta reported March 14. AgileOne, which provides the contract workers, said the workers will have a chance to be placed at other locations in the AgileOne network. In a regulatory filing last week, Delta said it is seeing more cancellations than bookings over the next month. Delta said it is planning an overall capacity reduction of 40% in the next few months, among other things, and CEO Ed Bastian is foregoing 100% of his salary, effective immediately, for the next six months.
