People: Mondo CEO, Volt general counsel, Infotree president, CTG execs

Several IT staffing providers added members to their executive teams in October. Firms include Mondo, Volt Information Sciences Inc. (NYSE MKT: VISI), Infotree and Computer Task Group Inc. (NASD: CTG).

Mondo

Mondo, a provider of technology and marketing staffing, promoted Tim Johnson to CEO. Michael Kirven, the founder and former CEO, will now serve as chairman of the board.

Mondo has dual headquarters in New York City and Boston, and Johnson will be located in its Boston office. He has been with Mondo for more than 12 years and has served as VP of sales since April 2013, when the company split from Bluewolf, a global business consulting firm.

“As the worlds of IT and digital marketing continue to rapidly converge, we are uniquely positioned to help organizations meet their hiring needs with the most qualified professionals and contractors,” Johnson said. “I look forward to leading Mondo during this next phase of growth, as a leader in IT resourcing and digital marketing.”

Mondo's revenues are on track to increase from $6 million in 2005 to more than $90 million this year. It now counts 10 offices — including Los Angeles, Washington DC, Philadelphia, Denver, Chicago and Atlanta.

Volt

Volt Information Sciences appointed Nancy Avedissian as senior VP, general counsel and corporate secretary for Volt Information Sciences Inc. She reports to Volt CEO Michael Dean.

Avedissian most recently was general counsel and VP, legal affairs at Worldwide Clinical Trials, where she served as the chief legal advisor to a contract research organization that provides outsourced services to the pharmaceutical industry. Prior to Worldwide Clinical Trials, she practiced for 10 years as a corporate transactional attorney at the international law firm of Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP, primarily concentrating in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, and securities and corporate finance.

“Nancy is highly regarded for her expertise in leading organizations through complex legal matters and partnering closely with business leaders in support of corporate goals,” Dean said. “Her breadth of experience will bring a valuable, balanced legal and business-savvy approach to Volt, which will support our strategic growth in the years to come.”

Infotree

Infotree Service, a Michigan-based staffing provider, named Jeff Diegel as president of North America operations.

Diegel for the last six years was senior VP for professional staffing firm Kforce Inc. (NASD: KFRC), responsible for its MPS strategy nationally. He started his staffing career with Geometric Results Inc. (at the time a wholly owned subsidiary of Ford Motor Company) where he held various leadership roles. Diegel also served as a senior leader and executive VP for CDI Information Services, where he managed all 52 IT offices nationally.

“We are thrilled to welcome Jeff to our team.” said Board Member Raman Sawhney. “At Infotree we work very hard to bring value to our clients and our employees. Jeff fully understands that vision of service and value and is the right person to lead the efforts across North America.”

Infotree provides engineering, IT and staffing services and operates in North America, Latin America, Europe and Asia.

CTG

Computer Task Group, a Buffalo, NY-based IT staffing provider, appointed Rick Sullivan as VP in the company’s strategic staffing services division, effective Oct. 10. He joins James Nichiporuk, who was appointed to the same role earlier this year. They will have executive responsibility for several of CTG’s largest accounts along with other geographically determined relationships.

Arthur “Bud” Crumlish previously held this position prior to being named the CEO and president of the company in July.

Sullivan has contributed to CTG’s staffing business for more than 25 years and most recently was managing director within CTG’s strategic staffing services division.

“Rick’s appointment reflects his track record of significant accomplishment and leadership in our strategic staffing business,” said President and CEO Bud Crumlish. “Rick’s information technology and staffing services experience, coupled with his rich institutional knowledge of CTG and its people, and a strong entrepreneurial approach to business makes him well-suited for this role. Rick will work closely with Jim Nichiporuk and together they will lead our efforts to accelerate growth in our staffing business, achieve more efficient operations, enhance the Company’s client service capabilities, and attract and retain top technical talent.”
