The Montreux Healthcare Fund, a firm that invests in the UK specialist care space, purchased Wales-based Jane Lewis, also known as Chester Healthcare Limited.

Established in 1987 in north Wales and now with branches across England and Wales, the Jane Lewis nursing agency provide flexible and professional healthcare solutions to a variety of clients across both public and private settings.

The acquisition, for an undisclosed sum, sees Jane Lewis join the fund’s neurological care platform, Active Assistance. The acquisition is expected to expand its offering and enter new geographies.

Becky Garnett-Buchma, managing director of Jane Lewis, will continue to lead the business following the acquisition.

“The purchase of Chester Healthcare is a good strategic acquisition for Active Assistance as it will allow the business to have access to a flexible staffing pool at much lower cost than most of its competitors,” said Oliver Harris, chief executive of Montreux Capital Management UK.
