Supplemental Health Care names new CEO

Staffmark CEO Lesa Francis has assumed the role of CEO at Supplemental Health Care, the company announced last month. Francis replaces Stephen Ure, who is retiring.

Supplemental's Francis is chairman of the American Staffing Association. She has also appeared on Staffing Industry Analysts’ Staffing 100 list of the most influential people in staffing as well as on the Power 100 Women in Staffing list.

“We could not be more thrilled with Lesa from the perspective of her background, her integrity, her successful track record and just her overwhelming presence in the industry,” said Greg Palmer, chairman of Supplemental Health Care. In addition, Francis is a great executive and good at both motivating teams and supporting their growth, Palmer said.

Francis joined Staffmark in 2006. Prior to that time, she had held executive positions at Medical Staffing Network Holdings, Spherion and Adecco.

“Lesa is a top-tier executive with a rich background of growing and leading successful organizations in the staffing industry,” said Kip Kirkpatrick, co-CEO of the Vistria Group, which acquired Supplemental earlier this year. “She is ideally positioned to continue the growth strategy of Supplemental by introducing valuable solutions for the growing unmet staffing needs of healthcare providers.”

Former CEO Ure was appointed to the post by Supplemental earlier this year after the departure of several executives.
