Tokyo-based TechnoPro acquires engineer staffing and RPO firm Techno Brain

Technology recruitment firm TechnoPro Holdings Inc. announced it is acquiring shares in Techno Brain Company Ltd., a Tokyo-based firm founded in 1992 that provides engineering staffing and recruitment process outsourcing.

TechnoPro aims for the move to boost its engineer staffing business.

Shares were purchased from CEO Kentaro Nose, who owned 66.5% of the firm, and Takumi Hontaira, who owned 33.5%.

The price of the acquisition was not announced. However, Techno Brain’s net sales for the 12 months ended September 2018 were ¥888.0 million (US$7.8 million). Its net income was ¥77 million (US$677,161).

TechnoPro does not expect the acquisition to have a material impact on earnings for its fiscal year ending June 30, 2019.

Separately, TechnoPro also announced that Gaku Shimaoka will serve as business director (Japan and global), managing executive officer. Shimaoka had served as business director, managing executive officer. In addition, Toru Okazaki was named executive officer for special assignment (global strategic planning, TechnoPro Design).

Tokyo-based TechnoPro last month announced earnings with revenue up 26.6% to ¥70.11 billion (US$643.9 billion).
