World – Recruit Holdings looks to tap Israeli start-ups with new fund (CTech)

07 June 2019

Recruit Strategic Partners, the venture capital subsidiary of Japan-based staffing giant Recruit Holdings Co. Ltd., is looking to tap Israeli start-ups with a new $375 million fund that will focus on Israel, as well as the US and India, reports CTech. RSP’s vice president Tanaka Yuki said Recruit’s decision to expand its investments in Israel is part of its digital asset-focused business strategy, and comes about due to “Israel’s innovation and development-heavy ecosystem.” Recruit has made several investments in Israel, including most recently in blockchain start-up Coti Holdings Limited. Staffing Industry Analysts published a report last month looking at the investment initiatives created by major staffing firms, including Recruit Strategic Partners (available to members only).
