UK – Union launches legal case against delivery firm DX over worker rights (AOL UK)

25 April 2017

The UK’s general trade union GMB has launched legal proceedings against delivery company DX on behalf of six workers who say they are being denied their employment rights, reports AOL UK. DX considers its delivery drivers to be self-employed which means they do not have access to employment rights such as holiday pay and the minimum wage. Last year, GMB won a case against Uber and earlier this year, launched legal proceedings against courier Hermes over employment rights. The claims in the DX case have been brought by the law firm Leigh Day, which represented the Uber drivers during the landmark victory.
