Staffline Group (STAF: LSE), the UK-based staffing and employability organisation, announced that it has acquired the entire issued share capital of Passionate About People.

Passionate About People was established in 1998 and comprises two companies: Omega Resource Group Limited, a UK provider of blue-collar, flexible, staffing solutions to the aerospace, automotive, construction, energy, logistics and manufacturing sectors, and Datum RPO Limited, a provider of recruitment process outsourcing solutions to blue-chip clients.

No further financial details of the transaction were disclosed.

In the year ended 30 June 2017, Passionate About People reported revenues of £72 million and an operating profit of £2 million.

According to Staffline, the acquisition is consistent with the group’s strategy of accelerating the growth of its Recruitment division through select, complementary acquisitions that bring strategic benefits to the group. The acquisition also broadens the group’s UK footprint, in particular in South West England, with branches in Swindon and Gloucester and minimal overlap with the group’s existing presence. Consideration will be funded from Staffline’s existing resources and is in line with the group’s acquisition criteria.

The acquisition gives us access to new sectors in aerospace, energy and construction, as well as increasing our market share in manufacturing, whilst further strengthening our market leading position in the automotive and logistics sectors.”

Staffline has been on an acquisition spree this year. In March, the group announced that it acquired Endeavour Group Limited and its subsidiary Vital Recruitment Limited. Staffline also made two smaller acquisitions early in the year with UK Distribution Personnel Limited and Irish-based M&B Staff Services.

In July the group announced the completion of the acquisition of LDA, a UK-based Apprenticeship Levy provider from Learndirect Apprenticeships Limited. Also in July, the group acquired two subsidiaries of Grafton Recruitment Ireland Holdings Limited: Grafton Recruitment Limited (Northern Ireland) and Grafton Recruitment Limited (Republic of Ireland). These were Grafton Recruitment’s Irish businesses.
