Paris-based Sopra Steria (EPS: SOP) announced that it completed the sale of its recruitment subsidiary in the UK to Resource Solutions Group’s subsidiary Sanderson Recruitment.

The deal was first announced in June 2019.

According to Resource, the deal will boost Sanderson’s group revenue to more than £550 million.

Sanderson, based in Bristol, was founded in 1975. The company has offices across the UK as well as an office in Dublin.

Sanderson group Chairman Martin Griffiths, commented, “Acquiring Sopra Steria Recruitment provides us with an exceptional opportunity to build on the existing success and growth we’ve achieved in recent years. Our intention is very much to continue developing the business as part of the wider group, which will add a new dimension to the services we are able to offer our clients.”

Sopra Steria’s recruitment operations came under Sopra Steria’s ownership in 2007 when it acquired Xansa. The UK business provided €129 million in revenue and €2 million in net income to Sopra Steria’s earnings.

The group also announced separately that it had secured a “substantial shareholding” in London-based recruitment consultancy iKas Global. The company is primarily focused on providing talent to the Financial Services industry in London, Hong Kong, Singapore, Sydney and New York.
